Gift Ideas for the Montessori Child - Christmas

When looking for Christmas gift ideas it is easy to think all the good toys come from abroad. These gift ideas don't contain Montessori materials but they are suited to the Montessori kid and they are all made by Australian companies. I have attempted to contain as many small businesses and handmade goods as possible while also highlighting some of our favourite Australian products! Many of these stores ship overseas also.
Little backpacks perfect for independent Montessori kids by Bagbini (international transportation accessible).
Playdough and accessories at Happy Hands Joyful Heart (we adore this playdough, the texture and fragrances are exceptional).
Mild skin care from Sukin.

Healthy Flash Cards (good for all sorts of learning) at Teepee Learning (international transportation available). I also love these Pregnancy and Birth Affirmation Cards.
There are not many Montessori substance producers in Australia but Wood Puzzles has a good array of language materials and Australian made wooden trays. I suggest the Magnetic Movable Alphabet along with the depicted Alphabet Boards.
Kid size, real, Tool Set and Gardening Set with Gloves at Me2Me2.
The Happy Architect and Alphabet Matching Pairs at The Freckled Frog.
Infant Morris board books at Little Kids Things.
Wooden Crayon Holder at Folkwood (Etsy).
DIY Coloured Beeswax Kit by Luxmi (this is the little kit for making birthday candles, would be wonderful for a younger kid, the bigger coloured kit is listed here).
Star Garland at KirraKai (Etsy), perfect kid and environmentally friendly decorations.
I trust you enjoyed this small snippet of what Australian stores must give!

For Children 3 to 4 Years

Magnetic Dress Up Santa.
Santa's Sleigh Wooden Chunky Puzzle (9 pieces).

For Children 5 Years

Christmas Tree Triangle Puzzle.
Gingerbread Houses Family Puzzle. This puzzle is intended to be utilized by a group of people with different ability levels as it's three different sized pieces. I really like at Christmas to truly have a puzzle going on the table for everyone to contribute to and this puzzle would be ideal! It has 400 pieces.
I've ordered Otis two Christmas puzzles by Ravensburger, which is one of my favourite puzzle brands, their age suggestions are often spot on!

For Children 2 to 3 Years

Wooden Christmas Tree Puzzle. The beauty of the puzzle is in it's simplicity.
Chunky Wooden Christmas Puzzle.
Christmas Blocks. A puzzle that doubles as decoration!
Nativity Nesting Dolls. Ideal for the kid's awareness of order.
Natural Angel, Wood Deer, and Pine Tree Puzzles. I adore these really straightforward two, three and four piece puzzles.

Christmas Puzzles to Love - 2 to 5 Years

Here are a few of the most gorgeous and Montessori family friendly Christmas puzzles! It is all about stacking, sorting, sequencing, patterns, and finding sequence!
All of these puzzles would work wonderfully in a tray or on a kid's work shelves. I really adore the natural lumber puzzles.

Labyrinth and Maze Toys for Children!

I'm certain these are great for building attention, developing hand-eye coordination, and visual perception. They'd likewise be fun to make use of with family or friends.
A number of these would be well suited to a Montessori environment, gross motor area or toddler area!
I love this quotation from MontessoriReStore. "The labyrinth is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the vision of the circle and also the spiral into a meandering but purposeful path. It symbolizes a journey to our own center and back out again into the whole world . The simplicity engages the right side of the brain letting instinct, creativity and vision to form a meditative activity to reconnect you with your centre. It has been found to improve wellness, express emotions and make a awareness of well-being for centuries. Use a private maze to focus a child between tasks or only when the child wants a minute of reflection."
